I’m a software engineer, tech lead, and speaker.

I began my career as a software consultant, where I honed my skills for building robust software, asking hard questions, and crafting intuitive developer tooling.

After consulting, I joined a methane mitigation startup and led a project to transition their reporting system from an arcane manual system to a robust automated system.

These days you can find me at Fastly, where I’m a Staff Software Engineer on the UX Platform team. I spend my days writing YAML robust developer tooling, building user interfaces, dreaming about continuous deployment, and mentoring the next generation of engineers.

Bekah Suttner Cheek is a software engineer whose mantra is to leave the code better than she found it. She’s happiest when solving problems at the intersection of design, development, and process. Bekah is a Staff Software Engineer on the UX Platform team at Fastly where she builds delightful experiences for users and robust developer tooling for internal teams.
